An otoscope is a tool designed specifically to examine the condition of the ear canal and eardrum. The small, snake-like device has a camera and a light is shined in the ear to help visualize and understand the condition of the ear. Examination of the ear can reveal the cause of symptoms, like an earache, the ear feeling full, pressure in the ear, ear pain, or even hearing loss.
An Ear otoscope can observe the parts which are not easy to observe under the operating microscope, such as the upper femoral chamber and the posterior femoral chamber, so as to discover the middle ear lesions in time and reduce the recurrence rate of the lesions. The advantages are non-invasive, high resolution of intra-ear image, high illumination function and high diagnostic rate, which can enable clinicians to grasp specific intra-ear micro-lesions and provide timely treatment for patients.
